See the Presentation of the Winning Project for the Future Community and Sports Centre

Jean-Pierre Richard, project engineer for TMR, accompanied by the Town's Director of Recreation, Kevin Whitehall, and Director of Technical Services, Ginette Leclerc, as well as Town Manager Ava Couch, accompanied Mayor Peter Malouf in a presentation of the project won by the Équipe Sports et Communauté VMR consortium, covering all the details of the mandate.

Please find below the introductory words of Mayor Peter Malouf:

" Good evening, everyone, 

It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I welcome you to this presentation of the Town of Mount Royal's brand new Community and Sports Centre.

Before we dive into the presentation, allow me to introduce the dedicated team members with me this evening-individuals whose work has been crucial in getting us to this point: the awarding of the construction contract.

Please join me in recognizing:

- Ava Couch

- Kevin Whitehall

- Ginette Leclair

- Jean-Pierre Richard

Before handing over to our project engineer, Jean-Pierre Richard, I would like to acknowledge the outstanding work of the three engineering professionals who prepared the detailed and comprehensive tender documents. They met with five interested contractors and, using our objective points-based qualification system, selected the top three candidates.

Those finalists were then evaluated by an independent selection committee.

Importantly, I want to emphasize that no elected officials were involved in this process-a clear sign of our commitment to transparency, integrity, and fairness.

With that, I'm pleased to hand over to our project engineer, Jean-Pierre Richard.
