Redesign of Plymouth Avenue

As part of our major construction projects, we will soon begin the redevelopment of Plymouth Avenue, between Lucerne Road and Manella Road.

The planned work includes:

• Reconstruction of sidewalks,
• Creation of green belts,
• Installation of stormwater retention basins beneath the road surface,
• Reconstruction of the pavement.

This work follows the water main project completed in the summer of 2025.

Long-Term Vision

This project is part of our effort to make Plymouth Avenue more people-friendly, more urban, and safer by reducing traffic to one lane in each direction and adding curb extensions and greenery.

To carry out this project, on-street parking will be modified so that it is permitted only on the north side of the street. This new configuration will result in the loss of approximately 24 parking spaces. Our counts and assessments show that this reduction will not cause any problems, as on-street parking is never at full capacity.

Duration of the Work

The previously announced work is expected to follow the following schedule:

• Projected start date: June 15, 2026
• Projected end date: October 15, 2026

Traffic and Access

Given the scope of the work, Plymouth Avenue will be closed to traffic. However, access will be maintained for residents except in certain specific cases. Any access closures will be communicated in advance.
