The Town of Mount Royal would like to remind residents that there are only a few weeks left to register for the Resilient Properties inspection and support program, as registrations for 2026 will be accepted through August 31, inclusively.
This initiative, which aims to anticipate risks and reduce the vulnerability of certain buildings to heavy rainfall, complements the new asset and stormwater management strategy that TMR is implementing on its own.
This support program, carried out by the specialist firm JFSA Inc., which has been commissioned by the Town, consists of providing a free analysis and inspection of the plumbing systems of eligible properties, as well as outdoor installations such as landscaping, foundations and gutters, among other things.
Following its analysis, JFSA Inc., will provide the owner with a professional report that includes a diagnosis, recommendations and suggestions for improvements aimed at reducing the risk of sewer backups and water damage. A copy of the report will also be provided to the Town for its records.
