Kindly ensure that all necessary documents are included with the application:

This list is not exhaustive. If uncertain, refer to the detailed list of projects requiring a permit or certificate.

Construction Permit Request

Since February 1, 2025, the Town of Mount Royal renounced its agreement to oversee the application of the Plumbing Construction Code. Its territory will therefore fall under the authority of the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ).

In concrete terms, this means that plumbing contractors and builder-owners will no longer need to obtain a permit from the Town of Mount Royal. However, they will be required to declare to the RBQ all eligible plumbing work carried out on Town of Mount Royal territory. Fees associated with the work must also be paid to the RBQ.

• obtain a form
• find out how to fill out and submit the form
• find out when to send it and how to pay.

We remind you that it is mandatory to file a declaration of work. Interest will be charged if the plumbing contractor fails to comply with this requirement. Declarations are subject to verification.

For a signage authorization apllication, please complete the PDF form provided below with all required information. You may either submit it by email to urbanplanning@town.mount-royal.qc.ca or deliver it in person to the Urban Planning and Development Division located at 20 Roosevelt Avenue, Town of Mount Royal. Kindly ensure that all necessary documents are included with the application.

Please note that the certificate will be granted upon inspection approval of the construction site's proposed layout plan, which includes rigid fencing, infrastructure, trailer placements, tree protection measures, and access.

Site Preparation Certificate Request

Before demolishing a building, accessory building, or pool, ensure you acquire the essential certificate from the Town of Mount Royal.

For a minor exemption application, please complete the PDF form provided below with all required information. Minor Exemption Request

For a subdivision application, please complete the PDF form provided below with all required information. You may either submit it by email to urbanplanning@town.mount-royal.qc.ca or deliver it in person to the Urban Planning and Development Division located at 20 Roosevelt Avenue, Town of Mount Royal. Kindly ensure that all necessary documents are included with the application.

Subdivision Request

Only the property owner can submit a request. Nevertheless, the owner can authorize someone else via a written proxy.

Proxy Form

When the owner is a corporation or a condominium, the Board of Directors must pass a resolution designating a signatory.
