Leashed Dogs Now Permitted on Park Pathways
October 14, 2026
Since September 22, 2026, leashed dogs are permitted in Town of Mount Royal parks, on pathways only.
This new regulation will allow residents to enjoy the Town’s green spaces with their dogs while promoting harmonious use of the parks by everyone.
Dog owners are asked to keep their dogs on a leash and remain on designated pathways during their walks. Signage in the parks will be updated over the next few weeks.
Enjoy our parks with your four-legged companion while being considerate of others!
