As part of the national reserved parking awareness campaign, TMR’s Public Safety would like to remind everyone that it is essential to respect parking spaces reserved for people with disabilities, whether for 2 minutes or 2 hours.
Every year, police organizations join forces to support the reserved parking awareness campaign. In 2026, this campaign will take place from June 1 to 7.
A quick reminder: In Quebec, you need a SAAQ sticker (valid for 5 years), which is often tied to a person rather than a vehicle, to park in these spaces, regardless of the duration. Failure to comply will result in a hefty fine.
These strategically placed spaces help people with reduced mobility get around safely. Public Safety patrollers will ensure compliance with this regulation and raise awareness among residents.
