The Planning Advisory Committee (usually designated by its French acronym, CCU) is mandated by the Town Council to make recommendations concerning construction or renovation projects to be carried out on its territory.
CCU members meet every two weeks, according to a precise schedule, to study requests submitted in matters of urban planning and development.
The recommendations and opinions resulting from these studies give the Town Council greater decision-making power with regard to land-use planning and administration, notably in terms of minor exemptions, Site Planning and Architectural Integration Program (commonly referred to by its French acronym, PIIA) and construction projects, among others.
