CSC Construction - Safety Plan to Adapt Summer Camp Activities

Due to construction work on the new Sports and Community Center starting on Monday, July 7 (week 3 of day camp), a plan has been drawn up to ensure the safety of young campers and staff.

Themed Camps

As of Monday, July 7, 2025, the following services will be moved to Mount Royal High School (50 Montgomery Avenue). This applies to discovery, energy, adventure and pre-teen camps.

  • Day care from 7:30 (drop-off); until 18:00 (pick-up)
  • Drop-off from 9:00 (for campers not enrolled in daycare)
  • Pick-up from 16:00 (for campers not enrolled in daycare)

Specialized Camps

For ballet, cartoon, science and skateboard camps, drop-off will take place at the activity's usual location during the day.

Day care, however, will be moved to Mount Royal High School (50 Montgomery Avenue) and will be available from 7:30 (drop-off); until 18:00 (pick-up).

Other Important Points

This plan for themed and specialized camps, which will be adapted throughout the summer, includes the following points:

  • Avoiding the grounds around the REC Centre, as well as the building itself;
  • Using different parks for outdoor activities;
  • Swimming at the pool will be maintained;
  • The Town Hall will be used for rainy or hot days, as well as for indoor activities.

Please note that Danyluk Park remains open - only the sections behind the REC Centre, the baseball field and the mini-soccer are not accessible.

No activities, services or events have been cancelled - only relocated.

An email will be sent to all parents whose children are registered for day camps to inform them of any updates or changes during the summer.
