Over the last few months, as part of the dynamic tests, REM traffic on the Deux-Montagnes and Anse-à-l'Orme antennas has enabled additional sound analyses to be carried out on REM noise in operation.
These analyses have now been completed and, in summary, show that :
- Mitigation measures already in place, such as noise walls and track grinding in 2024, are effective;
- In some locations, improvements to mitigation measures are required, such as the extension or addition of noise walls, and the installation of dynamic absorbers, including near Mount Royal Station Square.
