Beware of Distraction Thefts

The Montreal Police Service (SPVM) is warning seniors about distraction thefts.

Thieves may take advantage of the vulnerability of seniors to steal the jewelry they are wearing or other valuables in their possession. Thieves will use any means necessary to distract them and steal jewelry and valuables; vigilance is required at all times to prevent this from happening.
