Study on the Use of Parking Spaces in the Town Centre

A team of researchers from McGill University will be conducting a study of parking use in the downtown area this weekend, on May 10 and 11.

So, don’t be surprised to see McGill students taking measurements and photos, and making calculations in the area.

Later in May, over a period of a few weeks, students will be on site to gather the opinion of residents and stakeholders through a short survey.

The purpose of this study is to analyze parking habits and needs in the Town centre area, with an objective of reviewing, optimizing and modernizing operations. The last exercise of this kind was carried out several years ago, and as the situation has evolved since, it's time to take the pulse of this sector to fully understand the current reality and respond to users' needs, in order to revitalize and ensure the lively cohabitation of our Town centre area.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
