Work begins

The contract for the future 30-40 Roosevelt building was recently awarded to the GEYSER Group, which is also part of the consortium currently building the Community and Sports Centre.

Work began on September 29 and is expected to last two years. The total cost of the project will be $22.6 million ($26 million including taxes).

This new building will house the new Montreal fire station, as well as the Engineering, Urban planning, and Public Safety teams.

Demolition and Change of address

This new project involves the demolition of the current building at 40, Roosevelt Avenue and the temporary relocation of certain employees.

With the demolition and start of construction, the Engineering team has now moved to 3201, Graham Boulevard; employees should move to their new workspaces in the fall of 2027.
