On May 21, the Town of Mount Royal conducted a test call of its CodeRED emergency telephone messaging system. The objective of the test was to make sure that the system was working as planned and that subscribing residents were receiving the information we wanted them to get.
The test went well, and the alert messages reached people registered with the various contact sources. Here are some statistics:

CodeRED is a platform that enables us to create alerts and reach our population in the event of an emergency, either by email, text message or telephone message.
An emergency or critical situation is defined as an extraordinary, potentially life-threatening event. Here are some examples of situations that may require an emergency alert to be sent out:

If you don't have access to Internet, you can come in person to the Town Hall (90, Roosevelt Avenue) to fill out a paper form. You can choose to receive alerts by email, text message or phone message, and also select several contact options. Registration is free, and your privacy is protected.
