Meeting of the business community at TMR Town Hall regarding Alliance Cavendish
On Thursday, March 21st, several members of the business community of the sector located in Namur-De la Savane accepted the invitation of the Mayor of Mount Royal, Peter J. Malouf, as well as elected officials from the Town of Côte-St-Luc, and the Borough of Saint-Laurent to discuss a plan to support various mobility solutions that will alleviate traffic problems and improve the quality of life in the sector, including the site of the hippodrome.
The plan proposed by the Alliance Cavendish group includes :
- Connecting Cavendish Boulevard to Cavendish
- Use the existing road through the CN/CP rail yards for trucks on the Royalmount-Paré and Highway 20 axis.
- Improve public, active and sustainable transportation in the area
- Facilitate workers' access to businesses and shops
- Encourage the arrival of new businesses and the development of neighborhoods in the Namur-De la Savane sector
- Create an eco-friendly living environment with parks and green spaces
