A look back at some of our events from summer 2026!

Once again this summer, our town came alive with the arts of the table, the visual arts, and music.

Launch of the Season with the Summer Fest

The summer season officially kicked off on June 25 with the Summer Fest, which welcomed more than 5,000 people for a festive, community-building event for Townies of all ages. The program featured several activities, including inflatable games and bumper cars, as well as food trucks and a performance by the band “Juno”.

Gourmet Thursdays at Connaught Park—the must-attend event in the Garden City

The Farmers’ Market enjoyed a season rich in flavours and discoveries, regularly attracting between 400 and 800 foodies and lovers of fresh, high-quality produce over the course of its 15 weeks of operation. The market gardeners and producers from the “Marchés d’ici” were delighted to meet residents and chat with them. In fact, many have become regulars, faithfully returning week after week, seeing it as a great opportunity to round out their shopping.

Another activity that has now become a Thursday-night tradition: grabbing a bite to eat at the featured food truck and discovering other local entrepreneurs at the same time. Over the weeks, a variety of cuisines and menus have been offered, much to the delight of the food lovers in attendance.

After stocking up at the market and enjoying some street food, it’s off to Mount Royal celebrates!

Drawn to the stage, performing arts enthusiasts were able to enjoy a diverse program of music and theatre, accessible to all. In total, six shows, as well as a Shakespeare in the Park performance, were staged, attracting an average of 250 people per evening.

Finally, regulars at the Wednesday evening events were also able to enjoy four exhibitions presented by local visual artists who are members of ArtTram, once again in the enchanting setting of Connaught Park or Station Square.

These outdoor evenings, which attracted many visual arts enthusiasts, were appreciated for their friendly atmosphere and the quality of the works on display.

We would like to thank you warmly for your loyalty and support, and we look forward to seeing you again for the summer 2027 program!
