Hydro-Québec will be conducting work on Jean-Talon West Street, between Lucerne Road and Saint-Clare Road, to install an underground electricity transmission line. This project is part of a larger effort to meet growing energy demand and ensure long-term service reliability on the Island of Montreal.

To ensure the long-term operability of its facilities on the island of Montreal, and to meet growing demand for electricity in the area, Hydro-Québec is building an underground transmission line between Mont-Royal substation (Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough) and Saraguay substation (Saint-Laurent borough).
The work involves laying open-trench underground conduits under Highway 40 to link Avenue Sainte-Croix and Chemin Lucerne.
