In preparation for work to improve a natural gas pipeline in the right-of-way of the future Réseau express métropolitain (REM), Énergir will place barriers on Canora and Dunkirk roads, at the intersection with Côte-de-Liesse and under Highway 40 (see map). Motorists will be invited to follow the detour routes indicated by the signage in place in order to circulate in the quadrilateral.

The closure of Dunkirk in both directions (north and south), between Côte-de-Liesse and Glengarry Avenue, will be maintained for the duration of the work. As for Canora road, the northbound direction will remain open, but the southbound direction will be closed between Côte-de-Liesse and Brittany Avenue, only for about four weeks, starting September 21.

Note that sidewalks will also be closed to pedestrians in the area. Local traffic will only be allowed in order to maintain access to the buildings.

Work duration and schedule

The improvement work will begin on Monday, September 14 and will extend over a period of about 10 weeks. The normal work schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 7:00 to 17:00.

As with all its activities for developing and improving its network, Énergir intends to make every effort to minimize the impacts of this work.
