As sanitary measures in red zones continue, the closure to the public of various municipal buildings in Mount Royal also continues, including its recreational buildings.

As the holiday season approaches, this sanitary closure will eventually merge with the regular closure of Town offices and services in December, with a further update only to follow in January 2021.

Recreation Buildings Closed to the Public by the Town of Mount Royal

As the Greater Montréal area turned to red among the various levels of alert related to COVID-19, the Town of Mount Royal closed the following recreation buildings to the public as of October 1, 2020:

  • Recreation Centre (60 Roosevelt Avenue)
  • Pierre Laporte Pool (955 Rockland Road)
  • Reginald J. P. Dawson Library (1967 Graham Boulevard)
  • Arena (1050 Dunkirk Road)

All activities (courses, workshops, family swims, etc.) remain suspended at these four locations. Only holders of an appointment will be able to enter a municipal building. Wearing a face mask is mandatory for those who have an appointment, as well as respecting all other current, standard health directives.

Until further notice, the practice of outdoor activities (soccer, tennis, baseball, etc.) remains permitted if sufficient physical distance is maintained.
