" Good evening, everyone,
Thank you for joining us tonight — on what truly feels like a summer evening more than a spring one!
I’ll keep my remarks short, because I know the news everyone has been waiting for is the awarding of the contract for our new sports and community center. This is an exciting, transformative project that reflects our shared vision for the future.
For those who weren’t able to attend the 6:00 p.m. presentation, I invite you to visit our website where it will soon be posted for everyone to view.
I’m very pleased to confirm that construction will begin this summer. I’d like to express heartfelt thanks to my colleagues on council for their ongoing commitment, and to our incredible municipal team for their professionalism and dedication.
And most of all, thank you to our residents for your support, feedback, and patience. This center is for you — and it’s being built with your input and trust.
I’m confident the result will be a vibrant and welcoming space that truly meets the needs of our diverse and dynamic community.
With that, thank you once again for being with us. Let’s begin tonight’s council session — wishing everyone a productive and engaging meeting. "
