In response to the devastating floods that made numerous victims, the Town of Mont-Royal has decided to lend a hand to the Borough of L'Île-Bizard - Sainte-Geneviève. In a gesture of solidarity, the Mount Royal Public Security team responded yes when the authorities of this distressed community requested assistance.

Thus, human resources and patrol vehicles have given support to the public authorities of Île-Bizard - Sainte-Geneviève. During their interventions, Mount Royal Public Security officers supported the emergency services and the armed forces in the evacuation of citizens in need of assistance. In addition, officers conducted patrols to detect any urgent situation and protect the territory and facilities against theft, for instance. Support was also provided to the local shelter for flood victims.

If the need arises, the Town of Mount Royal will not hesitate to provide more support by providing a team of blue-collar workers to assist local authorities and victims.
