The brown marmorated stink bug is a harmful insect that attacks several different fruit, vegetable, garden, and ornamental plant species (catalpa, maple, elm, lilac, hibiscus, etc.). This exotic species was discovered in North America in 2001.
With the summer season in full swing, the trees are growing rapidly and more landscaping work is required. The idea to cut down a tree may cross your mind. However, please remember that the Town of Mount Royal is endeavouring to preserve and enhance its urban forest.
This series of tips (including useful addresses, when appropriate) is in keeping with the Town of Mount Royal Sustainable Development Plan (2016), which the Town uses as a basis for coordinating several of its green initiatives.
Hydro-Québec has scheduled a power interruption on Wednesday, July 17 between 13:30 and 15:00 on Roosevelt Avenue. Municipal buildings located at 10, 20, 40, 40, 60 and 90 Roosevelt Avenue could be affected by this outage, but generators should take over during this period.

Beginning July 12, 2019, the logistics zone set up on Canora Road, at the intersection of Regent Road, will be expanded for the next phase of work.Material and equipment, including a power shovel, will be installed in the logistics zone to move materials between the logistics zone and the site.The work will require truck traffic in the neighbourhood; traffic patterns have been altered to minimize traffic and secure the construction zones. Flaggers and signs posted all around the construction site will ensure that pedestrians and vehicles can move about safely.
- One lane on Canora Road will be closed to vehicles between Regent Road and slightly before the intersection with Laird Boulevard.
- Parking will be prohibited in the zone.
