The ministère des Transports informs motorists that a new construction site will open on Autoroute 15 (Décarie) in Town of Mount Royal and in the Montréal borough of Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce. The planned work consists of resurfacing the roadway on the southbound Autoroute Décarie between Autoroute 40 and Sherbrooke St. West.

Traffic management: major local nighttime closures

From May 13 until the end of summer, partial and complete nighttime closures will be required on the southbound Autoroute 15 (Décarie) at the Décarie Interchange, as well as on Route 117 (Marcel-Laurin Blvd.) and Décarie Blvd. near the construction site. Generally, closures begin at 10 p.m. and end at 5 a.m. the following day to accommodate morning rush hour. Several long-term weekend closures will also be required. These will be announced once the dates are confirmed.

Among the province’s highway corridors, Autoroute Décarie has one of the highest recorded traffic volumes with more than 100,000 daily users. Ultimately, the work will keep this strategic infrastructure of the metropolitan road network, which opened to motorists more than 50 years ago, functional and safe.

In the event of adverse weather conditions or operational constraints, closures may be delayed or cancelled. For optimal trip planning, stay informed of current and future closures by visiting Québec 511
