Beginning January 31, 2023, fibre optic burial work is planned on the east side of the rail line in the EMN right-of-way for approximately one month. Excavation work will be required to create a trench along Canora Road, between Jasper Avenue and Highway 40.
Impacts and mitigation measures
- Noise may be generated by this work.
- Flagmen will be present on Canora Road when a truck temporarily blocks the right lane to pick up debris generated by the work in the right-of-way.
- Mitigation measures to minimize noise and dust will be put in place.
- Truckers will be made aware that the work is taking place in a residential area.
