The Town is moving ahead with its preparations for the new sports and community complex. The architects and engineers are hard at work finalizing the plans and specifications, with the goal of launching construction this fall.

The eagerly anticipated complex will include an indoor pool, a gymnasium, specialized multi-purpose rooms, a lobby/agora with an integrated snack bar and several other modern, user-friendly facilities.

Activities relocated during the work

To ensure the full range of services remain available to the public during the work, all current activities will be relocated. Temporary venues will be set up at four or five sites, mainly nearby churches. Of course, the temporary facilities may differ from the regular ones. Nonetheless, the Town remains convinced they will meet users’ needs until the new complex opens. Residents’ understanding and cooperation during this transition period are greatly appreciated.

Details about the temporary sites and activities will be provided in the next recreational activities brochure. In addition, future messages to users will include updates on the project’s progress.

Relocation of activities: August 26 to September 3, 2019 (various temporary venues)
Relocation of the registration counter: September (Arena, 1050 Dunkirk Road)
