The pandemic and the measures taken to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus are placing tremendous pressure on the population. Anxiety, depression and other mental health problems are on the rise in particular among teenagers. In the current situation, these problems can be more difficult to manage or they may even become worse. Unfortunately, the access to services may be limited and waiting lists can sometimes be long.
Therefore, the Teenage Health Unit at the Goldman Herzl Family Practice Centre is offering free virtual group therapy sessions via Zoom (a secure online platform) to youths between the ages of 13 and 19 who would benefit from psychosocial help.
Teenagers who are experiencing emotional difficulties and their entourage are invited to visit the Teenage Health Unit's website for more details about these group therapy sessions and other resources available for youth.
