In the spring of 2021, when the reconstruction of the Cornwall Bridge is completed, a new public space will be waiting to be landscaped in the Town centre, between the Laird and Cornwall bridges.

Mayor Philippe Roy referred to this new space for the first time in August 2019:

"To give you an idea of the space’s size, the surface area will be comparable to that of Peace Park in front of Town Hall. In Mount Royal, we will soon have an unexpected community space, an entirely new gathering place that will help dynamize the neighbourhood, especially as we want to make the space into something extraordinary."

With the help of the population, a consultation in 2021 will make it possible to determine the desired arrangements for the new green space.

Find a name for our new public space

Residents are invited to submit their name suggestion(s) for the new space by Friday, January 8, 2021, 16:30, by writing to NewPlaceTMR@town.mount-royal.qc.ca.

The Town will then submit to a popular vote a handful of names selected among the ones it has received.

Only one name will win
