For the first time since February 2020, the Mount Royal Council meeting on Monday, July 12, 2021, 19:00, will be held before a live audience. It will still be webcast live.
Schofield Hall will accommodate as many participants from the public as health regulations will allow at the time of the meeting. Wearing a face mask and maintaining a one-metre distance will remain compulsory. The doors will open at 18:45, with a register for attendees to sign at the entrance. The question period will combine questions received in advance by email, which remains an option, and those asked on site by participants; details below.

How to submit questions
By email, in advance
Residents can direct their questions to QuestionsConseilVMR@ville.mont-royal.qc.ca before Monday, July 12, at 13:00. Limit of one question and sub-question per resident. The preamble should be kept short and questions that are too long will be summarized; the Town invites you to aim for a maximum of 175 words.
Important: the Town asks participants to identify themselves in their e-mail and to include their name and address. Questions that remain anonymous or that do not include the necessary information will not be considered during the meeting. Among all questions received, priority will be given to questions from Mount Royal residents.
In person, during the meeting
At an appropriate time determined by Town Council during the meeting, participants will also be able to come to the microphone to ask their questions, just as it was possible for them to do before the pandemic.
Council will begin with answering questions sent by email before moving on to the live public. If the maximum number of participants set by health regulations is reached on the evening of the meeting and residents are refused entry to the room, they will be able to leave their questions in writing at the entrance for the elected officials.
