The info below is provided to the Town by the Réseau express métropolitain (REM). The work consists of identifying utilities through hydro-excavation, drainage pipe scrubbing and inspection, as well as surveying. This important step will provide critical data for designing the REM’s structures and stations.
Weekends of June 23-24-25 juin, 30 and July 1st, 2, 3, 7 and 8
Hydro-excavation is the process of digging withpressurized water and vacuuming the soil or debris as digging progresses. This technique is safe, limits the impact on the immediate environment, generates no dust and reduces the risk of damaging underground infrastructures.
In the railway right-of-way, primarily in the vicinity of the Canora and Mont-Royal stations.
The work may generate noise. In order to minimize this, acoustic screens will be installed around the trucks.
