Signing your child up to a library membership is like offering him/her a passport to a world of discovery. Look up relevant documents associated to this page for more information on our activities and services.
Activities and programs
The library offers a wide range of activities throughout the year. Come enjoy yourself by attending a show, develop your creativity during one of our crafts sessions or sample the imaginary of an invited author or illustrator.
Baby workshops and other workshops and talks for parents
On different dates, a variety of topics will be covered during workshops meant for parents of babies: babywearing, sleep, breatsfeeding and massage. Limited space, mandatory registration. Other hands-on workshops and conferences are also offered, covering various topics of interest to parents of children aged 0 to 5.
In collaboration with the National Film Board (NFB), movies presented on a weekly basis feature new talents alongside classics.
The library offers reading programs for children ages 0 to 24 months (Baby Storytime) and 2 to 5 years (Storytime).
Naturally, reading plays a big part at the library, but you can also come have fun with our toys and our board games, put together a puzzle or create a puppet show for yourself with our many stuffed animals.
Books for Baby
By signing up your newborn at the library, you’ll receive a bag full of surprises. You will also be allowing your child to develop a taste for books and for reading! Inquire at the children's library service counter.
Diane and Olivia will be delighted to help you find the information you need for a school project, but also to suggest lots of excellent books that they have devoured.
You can reserve your hour for Internet research, writing reports or just to play. There are four computers available for users under the age of 13, and four for teens (age 13 to 17).
